Bluebirds and a March snowstorm!

Nothing could be finer than some snow in Carolina! Well, it’s March here in the Tar Heel state, and we just got a couple inches of snow…woo-hoo! I don’t have much time to write, but these are some of our pictures from yesterday. The first two bluebird gems are gifts from my wife! She picked up the camera on my behalf and captured some beauties, including the last one that’s looking down on the male in our other seed dish.

I have to dedicate the yellow-rumped warbler picture (read as “butter butt”) to Barb up in Pennsylvania. She gets all the birds of prey (hawks, eagles, kestrels, whatever) and deer, and we get these cute little bullies. They just showed up a month or two ago. I love the splash of yellow on their side and rump. Gotta run…thanks to my amazing wife for her sweet captures! Dave

Wow Dave, You had a gorgeous snowstorm, didn’t you??? That was your second fairly large one this winter I think. We have had almost NO snow at all this winter. That last storm literally went all around us. Guess I wanted snow TOO much, huh???? ha… NOW —I’m tired of winter and these frigid temperatures and am ready for SPRING..
Love your bird pictures… Glad you fed them in that horrible winter weather.
How’s the baby???

Thanks, Dave! I just LOVE that little butter-butt! Congratulations to your wife on some really wonderful pictures! She should do that more often!!!
And the snow? It sure looks lovely – you need to move north!
oh so beautiful!
You know, I may not always comment but when I need a sense of peace in my day, I love that I can come to your blog to get that. Your stories and images are always so interesting…and I’m actually learning something too!
But I do love those beautiful birds in the snow. Peaceful…
WOW Dave…great Bluebird shots in the snow!!! Always enjoy your blog when I get enough time to get online and browse. Not much snow here…just a little to make it nice to photograph my birds. I guess my sister told you I don’t drive well in the snow…so a little bit suits me just fine. lol
