In Memory of Kristi Walker

This past Friday, an amazing lady and friend lost a battle against breast cancer. She was only 30 years old and a mother of three young boys (one newborn, not pictured above). We had the privilege of getting to know Kristi and her husband Chuck through our Sunday School class and small group at church. Kristi loved Jesus, lived for him, and because of what He did for her on a cross at Calvary nearly 2,000 years ago, she is in Heaven with Him. Her family and friends grieve the temporary loss of her presence with us here on earth, but we are confident that she lives cancer-free in a better place, with her Savior. She is in Heaven not because she was a great wife, mother, daughter or friend (and she was)…but because she served a great God and knew His Son, Jesus Christ.

“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?’” John 11:25-26

I urge you to read the obituary (click here) published in our local paper and learn more about Kristi’s life. It is well worth the few minutes it will take you. We will all miss her! Dave

A very fine tribute to your friend and Gods amazing grace.

Craig

Kristi Walker is in the BEST place possible now, with God.. I’m sure that God has some special work planned for that special young woman.

For you and all of Kristi’s family and friends, I’m sure that it is very sad to see someone so vital and so young die. She will be missed by all–but I’m sure Chuck and the kids will keep their mother ALIVE with all of the great memories.

This was such a nice tribute, Dave. I’m SO sorry.
Hugs and Prayers,
Betsy

Dave,
Very nice tribute to your friend. My sympathies go out to her family and to her friends.

So sad, Dave! It’s difficult to understand why a beautiful young wife and mother, who loved life has to die. Though we know through faith that she is in a better place – it is still so hard. I’ll keep their family in my prayers. A lovely tribute to her on your blog and also in her local paper.

Dave – I am so sorry over the loss of your beautiful friend! That obituary was a touching tribute to the wonderful life she led! I am so said that her husband has lost a wife and those young children have lost a mother. The only solace is that she is most certainly in heaven.

Any loss of life is sad,but when she leaves young children like that it is evenmore so. Praise God she knew the Savior, that is a hope to cling to.
Thanks for praying for my family during our recent crisis. God has and is working.
Blessings,Ruth

Nice tribute to Kristi Dave.
And I am glad I found your blog. Adam just bought me a blue bird house for Christmas…and I am so excited. I actually went and bought a small feeder for the meal worms. I am looking forward to watching some birds. You are a talented bird-photographer!
I also have a blog…but not for birds…mostly therapy from being a stay-at-home mom!!
Oh yeah, you can read my tribute to Kristi from Saturday at http://mamamakingmemories.blogspot.com

I read the obit in the paper as well as the column today (Friday). Oh, what a woman she must have been. I feel a loss and I didn’t know her. I can only imagine how it must be for her relatives and friends.
