Autumn bluebirds enhance the leaf show

Fall has truly arrived here in central North Carolina, and the trees are beautiful! Scarlet, crimson, gold, burgundy…fiery reds, bright oranges and vibrant yellows…the leaves are spectacular right now! I’ve said it here before, but it bears repeating now, that creation indeed testifies to the Lord! It’s easy to worship the creation and miss the One who created it. Beauty like this doesn’t just happen on its own, folks. Enjoy the gorgeous scenery this autumn, but remember to thank the author of it, too.

So this was the scene in our backyard last Thursday morning: one male bluebird who seemed content to sit and enjoy the show. But at the same time, whether he realized it or not, he was a part of the show himself. Kind of like us… Dave  :-)

I’m not sure if you could have found more beautiful pictures. The colors together with a very lovely Bluebird,WOW! Praise be to God for the beauty He has created and for allowing me the priveledge to see it. Nature truely shows God’s handiwork!

Absolutely beautiful. What a great time of year.

ahhh the blues. You certainly caught this little guy at the right time and I think you have a wonderful freeze frame picture! These colors are stunning. Our fall colors have peaked and our yard trees are leafless…which means we are raking raking raking… Check out that little guys feet…a size 14 maybe??

Ruth, very kind of you to say so. Thank you!

Craig, glad to have you along now as a fellow blogger! Haven’t seen any frog-eating hawks around here so far…(Craig had one getting breakfast out of a frog-infested pool recently… see Craig’s Bird Watching Blog for the full story and pictures)

Tina, it’s funny because I took some pictures before this from a different angle and only had our neighbor’s grass in the background. Then I saw the leaves, moved five feet to the left, squatted down, and WOW! Composition 101, I guess. He does seem to have really big feet, doesn’t he?

Hi Dave,You not only captured a lovely picture of a male eastern bluebird but also nature at its best. Thanks so much for sharing your talent with us. I am always excited to see your next photos.

How beautiful, Dave! You really captured the scene well!

A beautiful setting for your handsome bluebird! You couldn’t ask for a nicer day!

Oh Dave—how I love those bluebirds! And your background is marvelous!!!!! Thanks!!!! Our leaves are about gone here.
